I have a background in television and video production and editing. In high school, I was known as, “The girl with the camera around her neck.” I went on to study art, photography and film. I was also in many commercials and did lots of in studio recording, as well as running a professional television camera and editing equipment.
Since becoming ill, I have had tons of ideas of grandiose videos, complete with story board, actors, lighting, etc. to bring about awareness of living with debilitating illness and pain.
However, that never happened. Way too much work.
So, one day, I turned on the webcam and just did a little skit with some music. The response was incredible! I was shocked that this simple, unrehearsed, quick idea of me with un-brushed hair doing a simple, whimsical, two minute video was so effective!
Since then, I have turned on the camera now and then to capture other thoughts on counting my blessings, living with disabling illness or just silly things that make me laugh. I hope that you enjoy my collection from “Silly Sherri Productions.”
