Missing My Kit Kat

I’m missing my Kit Kat! Never thought I would ever say that. She was a TERROR! She was in the birth canal too long and I believe she had some brain damage. So, she never bonded with me and as she got older always wanted to beat me up.

But the last 6 months of her life, I worked with her and she started mellowing. Sadly, when our other goat, JellyBean died, Kit Kat went into a depression and died of a broken heart. 🙁

In this video, Pumpkin (whom Kit Kat hated) is loving on her as she grieved JellyBean. Yes, goats have feelings. So sweet!

This is such a sweet story! A journalist was out to do a story on a shelter. This doggie grabbed his leg and wouldn’t let go. The journalist adopted her!

I Have the Best Neighbor Ever

I am so thankful for my neighbor and friend, Crystal, who has helped me when I needed someone to give my babies their dinner and tuck them into bed.

On this day, we were in a major crisis after the rehab my mom was in gave us two days to leave and we had to find her a new place! My sister and I were out looking at places and we couldn’t get home in time to put them up.

It was Crystal to the rescue! And she doesn’t just lock them up, she brought them snacks and took a short video of them! She really does love them!

Thank you, for being such a wonderful Auntie Crystal to my babies and such an amazing friend to me! We are so grateful for you!

Smile for the Day – Wildlife SOS Rescued Holly

Wow! Holly knew she was safe i her new home, just one day after being rescued!

I love supporting Wildlife SOS! It is amazing to hear about the elephants they want to rescue and see people work together to make it happen! Their most recent rescue was of Holly.

#UpdateonHolly: This morning, #Holly went out for a small walk in the Field of Dreams and was busy exploring the surroundings curiously with her trunk reaching out. As she is completely blind in both eyes, our keepers are accompanying her 24 x 7 to avoid her bumping into trees. She seems quite relaxed and calm, may be she knows that we’d never leave her alone. While we wish that Holly could have come to our notice earlier, we take some comfort in knowing that at least now, she is getting the care and love she deserves! … A trunkful of thanks to all our supporters from our sweet elephant Holly!
