Spring Flowers to Color My Winter

January 30, 2020 By Sherri

My hubby gave me these flowers to bring some color to my Winter! I never liked spending money on flowers. But 2 weeks later, they still look great! Thank you, Hubby! Might just have to make this a thang! πŸ’–πŸ€—πŸ’–

Keep the Dandelions – Feed the Bees!

June 17, 2019 By Sherri

I love this! We feed the bees in the Spring! Sometimes I even use the dandelions in smoothies for a great blood detox. And when the dandelions are done blooming, we mow them.

No sprays, no harm to bees, birds, pets or people! Just pretty little yellow flowers to enjoy for a short while!

More information about our endangered bees.Β

A Surprise Bouquet from Amazing Friends

August 23, 2018 By Sherri

Wowee!!! I have THE MOST AMAZING friends, Mike and Patti! They have a pretty good idea of the HORROR I have been living off and on (mostly on) for past 6 years, plus every day for the last 1.5!

I have been near death more times than I can count and under so much unfathomable, unthinkable, daily stress and crisis situations with my mom, in addition to so so many deaths, attacks on us and serious loses. I will spare the details. Please just keep my mom, Wayne and me in your prayers.

Today, a florist showed up at my door. I told him, “you must have the wrong address, because I never get flowers!” I was being serious. But I looked at the card and IT WAS for me!

Thank you, Mike and Patti for caring enough to send me the ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS bouquet! My only wish is that we weren’t so far apart!

I love you both so much!!!Β πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Wahoo! I Made it Through Winter!

March 12, 2017 By Sherri

WOWEE! I made it through Winter and into Daylight Saving Time!

The Winter was mild, but I got the flu, bronchial pneumonia, dislocated ribs and torn rib cartilage from coughing. I am on week 7 of this stuff, because I am still dealing with a lingering cough and torn ribs (which I just tore and dislocated again a couple of days ago). But the GREAT news is that today is the first day of Daylight Saving Time!

Β
I know many don’t like losing an hour of sleep. But try to remember you gain one later and that we actual gain 238 hours of extra sunshine in the evenings! This is extra time outside when you get off work and when kids get out of school!
Β
For me, this means: More sunshine, time outside, time with my animals, time to BBQ, time for appointments and outings for Wayne and me (don’t have to be home so early to put up the animals), time outside after my hubby gets home from work, more dopamine, more serotonin, more vitamin D and it marks a turning point day for me to look forward to Spring and Summer, warmer weather and hopefully swimming!!! … Must I go on?
Β
Wahoo!!!!
