Christmas and New Year Blessings

2013 Connell Christmas Card

Flying HIGH after having an INCREDIBLE Christmas week with family in Wyoming!!

Had such a great time with Wes, Melanie, the boys and Melanie’s sister and kids!

Thank you all for using fragrance free laundry and showering products!! What a beautiful time with all the kids and your sister and family!! Love you all SO much!! And thank you, Deb and Bree for house and pet sitting!!

Wait! I have more news! Wayne and I spent New Year’s Eve with family and friends and not home alone as usual! We had a great time laughing and playing cards! It was SO good to see the people we love again!

Praise God I was able to stay (usually too much chemical fragrance) and enjoy the evening! Been down with fevers and welts in my throat since then, but at least I was able to be there. Thank you everyone!! I have missed you all SO much! It has been WAY too long!

Safari Sherri Explores the Wild Jungle

December 5, 2012 By Sherri

Went to the mall today and bought a new hat! OK so it wasn’t the mall, it was the hospital, but who cares?

I was there for two appointments. There was a dealer there with his racks of junk all over the lobby. Yep, junk (but I like junk). Most of it was marked, “Everything on this rack $6.” 20% was donated to the hospital, so that is cool.

Anyhow, I crept along the rows of wears until I came upon my jungle prize! It was a new leopard hat to go with the jacket and scarf I was already wearing! I didn’t hesitate, but scooped it up like a leopard protecting her cub. What a find! Ooh la la!

I also enjoyed seeing this Beautiful Nativity there. It is life size and spectacular! To top it all off, I had a wonderful surprise! My friends, Barb and Pam and few other gals where there visiting someone.

Wowee! I just pretended that instead of being at a hospital for tests and stuff, I was out shopping, running into friends and enjoying the decorations and music. I can’t tell you the last time I have done anything like this and have missed the whole experience so much!

And, yes there were lots of challenges there, everywhere! But I took them on like a wild leopard, swatting them away with my strong paws and great-big, giant GRRRRAWRRRR!! Don’t mess with Safari Sherri!

Just counting my blessings wherever I can! Even in the midst of doctor appointments, I found some great things to be thankful for!
