I wanted to share this very unique and amazing procession after my brother, Jim’s, memorial service. Over 200 people attended the service and even more went to his Life Celebration Dinner. He was loved by so many! Story after story was told of what an incredible person he was, ALWAYS concerned about helping others over himself.

Jim loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, fast cars, dune buggies, go-carts and more! He loved to race and won many trophies!

He was the most wonderful brother and son to my mom. I am disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and Lyme Disease. We both also live with severe neurological reactions to the neuro-toxins in fragranced products, cleaners, paints, exhaust, etc.

My brother (and my sister Debbie when she could) would often drive 600 miles to visit us when everyone else had walked away.

Just before Christmas of this year (2011), my brother passed away in his sleep. He had been in unspeakable pain for many years, but always plowed through it. Last summer, he had major neck surgery and his health went down hill fast. When I saw him last Thanksgiving, he was in horrific pain and not sleeping. He even ended up in the emergency room. However, losing him has been a HUGE shock!

We are thankful he is finally relieved of his pain and will see him again someday, but we can’t imagine life without him.

JIM WAS ALWAYS GIVING TO OTHERS:

Jim was very supportive of the work that the Invisible Disabilities Association (IDA) does to help others like me (debilitated by chronic illness and pain). Jim traveled to attend the banquets with pride for what IDA (founded by my husband, Wayne) was doing to bring awareness and support around the world. If you would like to donate to IDA in his Memory,

Jim was also active for 20 years in the the local Western Slope Annual Toy Run, presented by the Western Slope Harley Owners Group. Every year, bikers and hot-rod lovers collected and drove toys in a cavalcade to donate to children through the Salvation Army.  Jim also rode with the Riders for Justice  and enjoyed going to the Grand Junction Eagles Lodge.
