Could someone possibly toss me a life preserver now and then? I’m trying to keep my head above these endless tides! Crazy, crazy, crazy!
Wow! So many losses and challenges! Better put on my Super Sherri Cape!
We lost our JellyBean Girl on June 14th. On August 1st, Wayne’s mom, Karen was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and isn’t going to make it.
My mom has been battling lung cancer since 2011, my sister battled cancer and my brother passed away in 2011.
UPDATE: October 2014. My very close friend, Matt, passed away. My mother in law passed away. My goat Kit Kat passed away. Unreal!
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God isfaithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” 1 Cor 10:13
God does not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. It is not talking about bearing life, trials and struggles. We are to trust and lean on Him. Not bear them by our own strength.
In fact, it when we are not trying to bear it in our strength that He can give us His strength.
“And He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. Cor 12:9-10
